Charlotte Jones serves as Vice President and Chief People, Diversity, Equity, Justice, and Inclusion Officer at SOUND, where she spearheads the company's Diversity, Equity, Justice, and Inclusion (DEJI) strategy. In this role, she and her team are responsible for developing and implementing initiatives to attract, retain, and develop diverse talent across the organization. Her work focuses on cultivating a culture of inclusion and ensuring that DEJI principles are embedded in all aspects of SOUND.
Jones brings over 30 years of experience in people operations leadership to her position. Her expertise spans a range of areas, including labor relations, compensation, benefits, and career development. Throughout her career, she has worked with a variety of organizations, including Time Warner Cable, Insight Communications, GameStop, and UPS Airlines. She has also owned and operated an HR consulting firm that specialized in supporting women-owned businesses.
In addition to her corporate experience, Jones has a strong background in partnering with nonprofit organizations. She has worked with project teams to plan, design, and secure funding for events in collaboration with groups such as the National Association of Black Aviators, the Organization of Black Aerospace Professionals, and the Tuskegee Airmen Inc.
Jones holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Human Resources Leadership, with a minor in Psychology. She is certified as a Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) by the HR Certification Institute.
In her role at SOUND, Jones works closely with the clinical, operations, and administrative teams to implement DEJI initiatives that enhance the company's culture and support the success of its diverse workforce. Her work is guided by a commitment to equity, justice, and inclusion, and the belief that a diverse workforce is essential for driving innovation and excellence.
