A member of the SOUND Board of Directors since 2017, John Santa Lucia is Chair of its Facilities Committee, which has oversight of strategic decisions around the acquisition, use, and operation of SOUND’s properties and real estate assets. Santa Lucia brings more than 30 years of legal real estate experience to his role on the board and currently practices law at the Seattle office of Stoel Rives LLP.
His experience and knowledge of managing real estate acquisitions, dispositions, development, and financing support SOUND’s growth and expansion strategies. Previously, John worked at Foster Pepper PLLC in Seattle, and prior to that, in private practice at firms in Chicago and Los Angeles. Santa Lucia earned his J.D. degree from Northwestern University School of Law in 1988 and his B.A. degree from Northwestern University in 1985. He is licensed to practice law in Washington, California, and Illinois.
John’s embrace of and dedication to SOUND’s mission derive from his appreciation of the clinical, psychological, and physical care extended to his late brother, Tom, who suffered from a variety of mental, behavioral, and ultimately debilitating physical health issues throughout his adult life. John’s efforts for SOUND are dedicated to Tom’s memory.
