Tom Bolger joined SOUND’s Board of Directors in June 2020 and currently serves as the Board Chair. A longtime Seattle resident, Bolger discovered SOUND when he was looking to contribute to an organization that focused on many of the community’s most pressing issues, including mental health, substance abuse, and homelessness.
Earlier in his career, Bolger spent 17 years with West Monroe, playing an important role in the firm’s evolution and expansion—from founding the firm's second office in 2005 to becoming Chief Strategy Officer. During that time, the firm grew from fewer than 50 people to over 2,300. Along the way, West Monroe helped to define the modern-day digital services industry by building a great culture, creating amazing opportunities for their people, and intensely focusing on their clients' most pressing issues.
After almost 30 years in consulting, Bolger left West Monroe and moved to Bend, Oregon, to pursue some of his personal passions. He now focuses on bringing his skills and experiences to the non-profit sector, where he enjoys serving on and leading boards. In addition, he invests in building healthy lifestyle businesses, starting with the cycling industry as co-owner of the award-winning Seattle-based cycling studio, Cascade Bicycle Studio.
Bolger holds bachelor’s degrees in computer science and psychology from the University of Notre Dame, where he graduated with honors. When he’s not working or serving on SOUND’s board, he enjoys exploring the outdoors, cycling, snowboarding, and golfing with family and friends.
