SOURCE is a rapid access, low barrier, harm reduction approach to where the focus is having a client in front of a prescriber and able to start Medications for Opioid Use Disorder (MOUD) immediately upon request.
SOURCE assists individuals with Opioid Use Disorder who are likely to be overwhelmed by the prospect of opioid withdrawal, and who are interested in opiate cessation.
SOUND helps stabilize withdrawal and cravings, the immediate barriers to recovery, right at the moment of crisis. SOUND knows it can be a non-starter for an opiate user when the person anticipates excruciating symptoms of withdrawal. So, in coordination with other local agencies, hospitals, and jails, SOUND’s approach is to put a client on medications which minimize cravings and make withdawal physically manageable at the moment a client is in need. SOUND then encourages and can provide, but does not require, additional outpatient substance use disorder treatment.
SOUND aims to provide low barrier treatment of opiate use disorder. We treat clients with empathy and understanding, in order to make them feel safe, seen, heard, validated and empowered. SOURCE’s services are recovery-oriented, focused on helping individuals and families gain stability, personal growth, resilience and tools for long-term self-direction so that they may reach and maintain their recovery goals.
Call 206-901-2000 and ask to make an appointment with SOURCE. An appointment is available within 24 hours, and often the same day. We are contracted with all Apple Health/Medicaid and have some limited funding available for non-Medicaid patients. SOURCE has providers on-site at Northgate, North Capitol Hill, Capitol Hill, Bel-Red, and Auburn. If a SOURCE provider is not physically at one of our sites, we make liberal use of telehealth — we have front desk staff ready to connect a walk-in at one site to a provider at another.
