Supportive Services for Veterans and Families (SSVF)

SSVF provides short-term, rapid re-housing case management and financial assistance to help veterans and their households secure or maintain permanent housing. Additionally, SSVF offers resource referrals tailored to individual needs.

Who these services are for

Veterans and their households who are currently experiencing homelessness or are at risk of housing loss.

Approach to care

SOUND employs a Housing First approach. We are outreach based – we go to veterans if it is difficult for them to come to us. We address the individual and provide appropriate help based on their specific needs. This includes case management and short-term financial assistance depending  on housing needs. We also connect veterans to other beneficial care providers and services.

Goals

The primary goal of SSVF is to help veterans find and secure permanent housing or maintain their current housing. Our services are tailored to meet each veteran's specific needs, while focusing on achieving stable housing. We strive to treat clients with empathy, ensuring they feel safe, seen, heard, validated, and empowered.

Locations

SSVF provides services to eligible veterans and their households residing anywhere within King County. While our office is in South Seattle, our services are community-based, with team members traveling to veterans' locations to provide support.
